Baulkham Hills Chinese Alliance Church (BHCAC in short) was planted by the North Side Chinese Alliance Church on 12th February 1995.

The church was planted by 20 lay believers from the North Side Chinese Alliance Church under Rev. Daniel Tam’s leadership. They started their service and called a new pastor. Thank God for bringing Rev. Patrick Suen and his family from Hong Kong in September 1995 and Rev. Suen started his ministry on 1st October in that year.

Since February 1995, the Church had used the small hall of the Hills Alliance Church at Baulkham Hills for their Sunday service. The Senior Pastor of this English church, Rev Terry Davidson, also shared the Dining Room of his house, just adjacent to the small hall, for Sunday school ministry as a temporary measure. During that period, the Church received financial and physical support from their mother church as well as the Hills Alliance Church to build a classroom for Sunday school purpose. The classroom was completed in 1996 and a dedication ceremony was held on 4th August in that year.

After establishment in 1995, the church was growing strong and rapidly within a few years. BHCAC became an independent church in July 1998. With an increasing number of attendance, the small hall and the Sunday school classroom were no longer large enough to cope with their needs. The church decided to move to Crestwood High School on 25th April 1999 for services.

Due to the continuous growth of the church and for long term development, they started to search for their own church premise since 1998. Thank God for His guidance that, after a few years of searching without success, BHCAC eventually found their permanent church site in October 2004. The Church’s Dedication and Thanksgiving Service was held on 3rd July 2005.

Doctrine

  1. There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing  eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  2. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived  by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died  upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary  sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the  ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according  to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty  on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to  establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.
  3. The Holy Spirit is a divine person, sent to indwell, guide,  teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin,  of righteousness, and of judgment.
  4. The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given,  were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation  of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the  divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.
  5. Man was originally created in the image and likeness of  God, he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both  physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful  nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved  only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The portion of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence  forever in conscious torment; and that of the believer,  in everlasting joy and bliss.
  6. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all  men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again  of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and  become the children of God.
  7. It is the will of God that each believer should be filled  with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated  from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of  God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective  service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience  wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.
  8. Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus  Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the  sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures  and are privileges for the Church in this present age.
  9. The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord  Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born  again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the body,  the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into  all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all  nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ  who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification  through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation  of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism  and the Lord’s Supper.
  10. There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of  the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for  the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.
  11. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent  and will be personal, visible, and premillennial. This is  the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is  an incentive to holy living and faithful service.

Our Logo

The Christian and Missionary Alliance logo conveys the centrality of the Lord Jesus Christ in our faith, by emphasizing the fourfold gospel of Christ as Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King.

Four-Fold Gospel of Christ

Jesus Christ Is Our Saviour

This is the first blessing of the gospel of Christ given to sinner: who believes in Jesus Christ to receive forgiveness of sin, righteousness and grace of eternal life.
Today, there are many people attempting to overthrow the doctrine of Christ’s atonement, and deny the seriousness of sin. According to their opinion, sin is not an incurable disease and, of course, does not need any help from God. In fact, we can see from the social reality, loose ethical standards will inevitably produce a relaxation of the true concept of atonement.
God’s Word tells us clearly sin is neither occasionally tragic events, nor a weakness of character, nor a problem caused by genetic and complexity of the environment only. Sin is a deliberate disobedience of God; is a hostile attitude against God, and is the natural reveal of deadly corrupt instinct. Any self-improvement and healing, for sin is powerless. Apart from God’s infinite grace and power, nothing can solve the problem of sin.
We believe that Jesus Christ, according to the Bible is written, sacrifice His life for our sins. His experience of suffering is substitutionary, that is, “the righteous for the unrighteous”. He gave His live for our redemption. Only through His blood we can be saved. We are deemed to be righteousness because of his death and resurrection and are accepted by our heavenly father in his name.
We also believe that: when a sinner believes the gospel and accept Jesus as Saviour, his sin is immediately pardoned, his soul is once reborn and becoming the children of our heavenly Father. He will inherit the eternal glory in the future. “we have gained access into this grace in which we now stand” Enjoy all the privileges in Father’s home.

Jesus Christ Is Our Sanctifier

Many people do not like the term “sanctification,” which, as it has linked with the term extremism in some people’s minds.  It has been confused with self-righteous hypocrisy and pious.  Therefore, Satan erects lots of scarecrow on the sides of this road to scare children of God; causing them to lose God’s blessing.
Our preaching of the road of sanctification is this: Lord Jesus Christ lives in our hearts; in the mid of our actions so that we become His likeness.  This does not give us self-sufficient proud arrogant.  Because we have to come to our end before we can have the sanctification experience.  We cannot be self-sufficient without Christ.
Sanctification is a simple living with faith and trust in Christ in every moment.  Getting into this abundant blessing, you must go through two steps: complete obedience and with faith to accept Christ.  By this condition — obedience and faith — living in Christ is the secret of sanctification.  As Paul said, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him” (col 2:6)
Through the Holy Spirit, God made “sanctification” complete.  The work of Holy Spirit is to show us the Lord Jesus can make us Holy.  As the same time, through the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ supply our every spiritual need.  So in time, Holy Spirit baptism and the experience of sanctification gained when we unite with Christ are occurred simultaneously.  Holy Spirit does not work without Jesus, but to show us everything about Jesus.
Sanctification experience is a clear turning point in every one’s life history.  This experience can not be learned gradually but is gained when united with Jesus Christ.  “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption”. (1 Cor 1:30).

Jesus Christ Is Our Healer

Although today we have great scientific progress, no doubt believers still need to learn a simple doctrine of the scripture: Jesus heals the body.
On this point, our believe is not like some use science as camouflage or people use medical treatment in the name of faith. We believe in simple faith to accept Christ’s healing. This is not exclusive to experts in miracle or spiritual businessmen. When you see someone put God’s grace as a profit opportunity, you better stay away and think about Simon’s event in Acts Chapter 8.
What we believe is simply: Lord Jesus has prepared strength and healing for the bodies of obedience of faithful sons and daughters. This blessing is same abundant as other spiritual blessings in the gospel. “He … bore our diseases.” (Mathew 8:17). Today, by faith, we still can draw health and strength from Christ resurrection until our work completed on earth.
We do not need any middleman because Jesus Christ is our High Priest. He sympathizes our weaknesses always. “touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed” (Mark 6:56).
Get this blessing must have three conditions: 1, completely surrender to Christ, willing to spend the life and health obtained from Him to glorify and serve Him. 2, firmly belief in His promise 3, abide in Him, have faith in Him always, draw the strength the body needed.

Jesus Christ Is Our Coming King

About the doctrine of coming King, it also had lots of misunderstanding and fantasy.  Many people were stop by Satan’s arrangement of false reasoning and gave up the exploration of prophecy and hope for the coming of the Lord.
We cannot really say when the Lord Jesus will come because that is something only the Father knows.  We can only point out the approximate time the Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.  We must always wait for the Second coming of the Lord with a humble heart.
The most important thing is we believe that the Lord Jesus will come to earth physically.  His coming is not mentally come back or meet the Lord after we die or deeper spiritual experience or spread the gospel around the world but it refers to His physically coming back to the earth.  His coming and His ascension are both truth.  He is not coming back after the millennium but coming back to establish glory, righteousness and kingdom of peace.
The most important thing is we should keep watch and wait for the coming King and have desire for His appearing and live under His ruling.
This blessed hope is a powerful spiritual force that can help us to live holy and watchful life; try every effort to spread the gospel  to the whole world loyally.  It is because “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matt 24:14).
The above four folds are the excerpt from writing of Dr. AB Simpson to illustrate the faith and objective of Christian and Missionary Alliance.  Today, church is in need of a complete gospel to save us from false beliefs and spiritual failure.  It inspires we faith, hope and love.  Let us accept them ourselves , then pass on to our surrounding people and show the world these are the full gospel that individual and the whole world needs.
